My artistic practice moves between painting, object, and installation, exploring how painting can extend beyond the flat surface and unfold into space, transforming it into a unified image. In my work, architecture is not a neutral background but an active element integrated into the compositional and conceptual structure of the work. I work with abstract forms, clearly defined color fields, and architectural references that function both as autonomous compositions and as parts of a spatial whole. Through this approach, the exhibition space becomes a site of visual and perceptual interaction. A central theme in my practice is memory — both personal and collective — embodied in transformed elements of everyday life, architectural fragments, and cultural artifacts, including Roman floor mosaics from my place of origin and motifs drawn from traditional Bulgarian visual languages. By removing these elements from their original context and reformulating them through an abstract visual language, I explore tensions between belonging and alienation, tradition and the present, as well as processes of cultural translation and loss of meaning. My color palette combines contrasting and pastel tones, with dominant hues of yellow, blue, and orange. These colors carry a biographical dimension and are connected to the different places in which I have lived, functioning as carriers of spatial and emotional memory. Through my installations and objects, I create spaces for dialogue and contemplation. My works do not offer fixed interpretations but invite viewers to move between meanings and become aware of their own position within this process.
