The focus of my work lies in contextualized abstraction and the interplay of form, color, and space. For years, I have been developing abstract compositions inspired by spatial experiences, translating them into vibrant color fields that balance between two- and three-dimensionality. In my most recent projects, I have expanded this process by creating freestanding painterly objects and multilayered reliefs that not only transform space but also incorporate architecture as an inseparable component of the artwork. Through this approach, I explore how our perception shifts when spatial reference points begin to blur and seemingly stable structures dissolve into a play of illusion. The reliefs and objects are characterized by cut-outs that define form through contour lines. These lines generate new shapes — carriers of memory and cultural identity. The geometric compositions, inspired by symbols from Bulgarian traditions and ritual practices, form a symbolic landscape rich in color and cultural codes. In this way, I investigate how personal stories intertwine with collective experiences and how traditional symbols can be reinterpreted as a universal visual language.
My work is typically marked by linearity, clear geometry, and structure — strongly influenced by Brutalist architecture. In contrast to this influence, however, the color palette in my work is vivid and full of contrasts. Color does not merely cover the forms — it defines them.

In my latest works, I deepen the creative process by producing freestanding sculptural objects and reliefs composed of multiple layers. These works often occupy entire spaces, transforming them so that the architecture becomes an integral part of my art. My inspiration comes from architectural details and Roman floor mosaics found in Bulgaria. I translate these geometric patterns into my compositions, creating a visual connection between shapes, history, and time. Everyday objects and elements of nature also inspire my works. Rather than directly referencing these objects, I transform them into visual allusions and variations of form, carrying new meanings and leaving room for personal interpretations.
